Welcome to MetaShield: Metadata Eraser ("the App"). Your privacy is our core mission. This Privacy Policy explains how our application processes information. Because MetaShield is a 100% Local Processing, serverless application, your data never leaves your device.

        Zero-Data Collection Promise: We do not operate any external servers. We do not collect, store, transmit, or share any of your personal data, media files, document files, or metadata. Everything happens locally on your Android device.
    

1. Information Processing (Local Only)

To provide its core functionalities (inspecting, stripping, and modifying metadata), the App requires access to the files you explicitly select via the Android Storage Access Framework (SAF). This processing happens strictly in the device's volatile memory and is written back directly to your local storage. No copies are saved elsewhere.

2. Permissions Used

Storage / Media Permissions: Required solely to read the files you wish to sanitize and save the processed, clean versions back to your device.
Internet Permission: Used exclusively to load non-intrusive advertisements via Google AdMob (for the Free Tier). No application file data is ever transmitted over this connection.

3. Third-Party Services (Advertising)

The free version of the App integrates Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and use pseudonymous device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID) to serve relevant ads and track ad performance. You can opt-out of personalized ads through your Android system settings.

4. Children's Privacy

Since we do not collect any personal information, our App does not knowingly collect or request data from children under the age of 13 (or any other age group).

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Since the App does not collect user contact information, you are advised to review this page periodically within the App or on our store listing for any changes.
